Television actor Sheezan Khan, who is currently out on bail in Tunisha Sharma’s suicide case, has been roped in as a participant in the show ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi 13’, hosted by Rohit Shetty. However, Tunisha’s mother, Vanita Sharma, has sent a legal notice to the channel for signing him up for the show, despite the ongoing case against him. She has criticized the producers for approaching someone charged with a serious offense and warned that it sends a wrong message to aspiring actors.
The Legal Notice
Vanita Sharma has sent a legal notice to the channel for casting Sheezan Khan as a participant in ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi 13’. The notice questioned the message being sent to society by providing a chance to an accused under Section IPC 306. It highlighted that the Mumbai Police has submitted a 524-page charge sheet against Sheezan, and therefore it sends a wrong message to society to cast such a person in a reality show.
Sheezan’s Cryptic Post
After the backlash from Tunisha Sharma’s mother, Sheezan Khan shared a cryptic post on Instagram, which shows a picture from his childhood. In the post, he wrote, “You can’t dull My Sunshine.”
Background
Tunisha Sharma allegedly committed suicide on December 24, 2022, on the sets of her TV serial ‘Ali Baba: Dastaan-e-Kabul’ near Valiv in Palghar. Sheezan was arrested the next day for abetment of suicide on a complaint lodged by Sharma’s mother. He was granted bail in March, 2023, after spending 70 days in jail. After his release, he filed an application in Maharashtra seeking permission to travel abroad for work, which was granted by the court.
