R Mayilsamy, better known as Mayilsamy, a veteran comic actor, died of a cardiac arrest, leaving a void in the Tamil film industry. Over the course of his 39-year career, this 57-year-old actor appeared in over 200 films. Because of his brilliant comic timing, he was dubbed a scene-stealer.
According to reports, Mayilsamy had been ill for some time prior to February 18. His family tried to rush him to Porur Ramachandra Hospital, but he died before they arrived. Doctors confirmed that he was already dead when they got him to the hospital.
