The role of Katerine, sixth and last wife of English Ruler Henry VIII, will be played in the next film ‘Firebrand by Hollywood star Michelle Williams.
The film will be the first of the Brazilian film director Karim Ainouz’s English-language features and the latest ‘Mariner of the Mountains’ will be screened on 9 July. According to the reports, the script for the film was written by Henrietta and Jessica Ashworth.
Ainouz says he’ll be happy to put Parr’s storey on the big screen, believing that in history she was largely ignored.
“I know a lot of the tyrannical rule of Henry VIII and of those who have died and been afflicted with it, but here I concentrate my attention on a woman who has not only succeeded in surviving but has also managed to thrive.”
“It is a reimagination of a ‘period’ movie, psychical terror movie set on the Tudor Court; an intrigue, an agency and a survival storey.
It’s a dream come true to have Michelle Williams portray this remarkable woman of immense talent and passion.
‘Firebrand’ starts production in the UK in 2022 to be produced by Gabrielle Tana of Magnolia Mae Films.
Hits like “Brokeback Mountain” (my week) to Marilyn, “Wendy and Lucy,” “Blue Valentine” (black valence) and “Manchester on the sea,” have been most famous to Williams.
In “Venom: Let There Be Carnage” she will become the next star, the sequel to her will hit ‘Venom’ in 2018.
