Hyderabad police have registered a case against YS Sharmila, the leader of YSR Telangana Party (YSRTP), for her remarks against Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) in the TSPSC paper leak case. The complaint, filed by a Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader, accuses Sharmila of blaming the Chief Minister for the question paper leaks and referring to BRS as ‘Bandicoot Rashtra Samithi’.
Allegations and Registration of the Case
The case has been registered at the Banjara Hills police station based on a complaint filed by BRS leader Narendra Yadav. Narendra claimed that Sharmila held the Chief Minister and BRS responsible for the TSPSC exam question paper leaks. He also stated that Sharmila had referred to BRS as “Bandicoot Rashtra Samithi”. Sharmila has been booked under IPC Sections 504 and 505(2), which pertain to intentional insult and statements promoting enmity, respectively.
