On Monday, the Bhopal administration took significant actions in response to a youth assault case by demolishing the house of one of the accused, Samir Khan, in the presence of the police. In addition, Samir Khan was charged under the National Security Act (NSA).
Arrests Made in Connection with the Assault

The police in Madhya Pradesh’s Bhopal have arrested six individuals accused of assaulting a youth. Two more accused were apprehended by the Teela Jamalpura police on Tuesday, bringing the total number of arrests to six. A viral video captured the incident, showing the miscreants harassing and assaulting the young victim. They can be seen forcing the boy to bark like a dog while putting a belt around his neck.
Action Taken Against the Accused
Following the incident, all six accused, including three with prior criminal records, were taken into police custody. Bhopal police official Riyaz Iqbal confirmed this information and stated that the arrests were made after the assault came to light.
House Demolition and NSA Charges

In response to the severity of the case, the Bhopal administration decided to demolish Samir Khan’s house. This action was carried out on Monday with the presence of the police. Furthermore, Samir Khan was slapped with charges under the National Security Act, indicating the gravity of the offense.
Official Response and Investigation
Upon viewing the viral video, Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra expressed his condemnation of the incident. He instructed the Bhopal Police Commissioner to launch an investigation and take appropriate action within 24 hours. Mishra emphasized that such behavior towards a fellow human being is highly unacceptable.
The incident has generated significant attention on social media, with a user sharing the video on Twitter and providing details of the assault. Public outrage has been sparked by the brutality of the attack, as the victim was reportedly threatened with sexual assault against his sister and verbal abuse directed at his mother.
