New Delhi: On the occasion of Babu Jagjivan Ram’s 115th birth anniversary on Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to him, saying the nation would remember his “wonderful” contribution both during the liberation movement and after the country gained independence. Following Babu Jagjivan Ram Ji’s birth anniversary, the Prime Minister posted on Twitter, “Tributes to Babu Jagjivan Ram Ji on his birth anniversary.”
No matter whether it was during the liberation movement or after independence, his great contribution to our country will be remembered for generations. “He was well-liked and recognized for his administrative ability as well as his concern for the less fortunate,” the author said. As a liberation fighter and a minister in the government of Jawaharlal Nehru, and later in the government of India Gandhi, Ram was born in Bihar in 1908 and raised in Delhi. Jagjivan Ram, often known as Babuji, was a Dalit hero in India who fought for the rights of those who were oppressed and marginalized.
