India A is set to begin their campaign in the ACC Men’s Emerging Asia Cup 2023 with a match against UAE on July 14 at 10 AM IST. The tournament, which is the fifth edition of the Asian Cricket Council Men’s Emerging Asia Cup, will be held in Sri Lanka from July 13 to July 23, 2023. Eight Asian countries will compete in the 50-over format tournament.
Tournament Format
The participating teams are divided into two groups. Group A consists of Oman A, Sri Lanka A, Afghanistan A, and Bangladesh A, while Group B comprises Nepal, India A, Pakistan A, and UAE A. The top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals. The first semi-final will be played between the top team from Group A and the second-placed team from Group B, while the second semi-final will feature the top team from Group B against the second-placed team from Group A. The final of the ACC Men’s Emerging Asia Cup 2023 will take place on July 23.
India A Squad
India A’s squad for the tournament includes players like Sai Sudharsan, Abhishek Sharma (vc), Nikin Jose, Pradosh Ranjan Paul, Yash Dhull (c), Riyan Parag, Nishant Sindhu, Prabhsimran Singh (wk), Dhruv Jurel (wk), Manav Suthar, Yuvrajsinh Dodiya, Harshit Rana, Akash Singh, Nitish Kumar Reddy, and Rajvardhan Hangargekar. The stand-bys for the squad are Harsh Dubey, Nehal Wadhera, Snell Patel, and Mohit Redkar.
India vs. Pakistan Match
One of the most anticipated matches of the tournament is the clash between India A and Pakistan A, which is scheduled to take place on July 19 at 2 PM IST.
