One of the world’s largest music festivals, in which various countries participate, is returning to live performance in the Philippines. After two years of virtual performance, Fête de la Musique is ready to showcase the best and freshest musical acts in the country.
The theme for this year’s music event is “Tara Allez!” meaning let’s go in colloquial Filipino and French.
We’re pleased to bring the Fête de la Musique celebrations back to the wonderful areas of the Philip-pines,” said Xavier Leroux, executive director of Alliance Francaise de Manille.
“This year’s festivities will find us rediscovering the joys of live and in-person music once again,” he added.
Starting June 21, the music festival will be held across the Philippines, specifically in Siargao, Makati, Manila, Cebu, Baguio, and Palawan, in keeping with Fête de la Musique’s goal of showcasing not only music artists from various parts of the country, but also the beauty and rich culture of the Philippines’ top tourist destinations.
DJ Blutch, known for mixing abstract hip-hop and house, will collaborate with Daloy Dance Company; singer-songwriter Marc Fichel will collaborate with The Voice Teens Season 2 Grand Champion Cydel Gabutero; and dancer-choreographer Maxime Cozic will collaborate with embodiment artist Dona Tumacder-Esteban at Fête de la Musique for the first time.
Some of the performers for the music festival are The Itchyworms, Cheats, Lola Amour, Anima Tierra, Brass Pas Pas Pas Pas, Curtismith, Toni B., Faye Yupano & Zsaris, Basically Saturday Night, Johnny Ale-gre, Ean Mayor of UDD, Coffeebreak Island with Bing Austria & Tuesday Vargas, Tropical Depression Apartel, Mulan, and Samantha Nicole.
