Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s crime drama ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’, starring Alia Bhatt in the lead role, emerged as the big winner in the technical categories, bagging three awards.
Technical Excellence Recognized
‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ secured the top spot in various technical aspects of filmmaking. The film’s captivating visuals were honored with the award for Best Cinematography, credited to Sudeep Chatterjee. The screenplay, skillfully crafted by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Utkarshini Vashishtha, received well-deserved recognition. Additionally, the film’s impactful dialogue, penned by Utkarshini Vashishtha and Prakash Kapadia, was also acknowledged.
Anees Bazmee’s ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ Shines
Following ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ closely was Anees Bazmee’s horror comedy ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’, which secured two awards. The film’s outstanding contributions in the technical department were recognized, adding to its success at the IIFA Awards 2023.
