In the film “Chevalier de Saint-Georges” Actor Samara Weaving will co-star with Kelvin Harrison Jr. The real life drama centres on Joseph Bologne and the Chevalier de Saint-Georges, known as the Black Mozart, to be directed by Stephen Williams from an original script by Stefani Robinson.
Born in the Caribbean and then educated in France to be a fencing master, Bologne was the illegitimate son of a plantation owner and slave who served as an entry to high French society.
He climbed the upper stages of Marie Antoinette’s Paris society with his music and operas until he was settled by a scandal in the court.
The Hollywood Reporter reports that The role of Marie-Josephine, a woman who wants to achieve creativity outside her vacant and lovely marriage, and defies her husband as the voice of Bologna’s opera will be played.
The film is produced together with Robinson and Dianne McGunigle by Ed Guiney and Andrew Lowe of Element Pictures.
In Paramount and Hasbro’s next “Snake Eyes,” which also included Golding, Andrew Koji, Ursula Corbero and Iko Uwais, the Weaving star who broke out with the 2019 hits “Ready or Not.”
In Damian Chazelle’s “Babylon” the actor will also feature and the French comedy remake “The Valet” in English.
