Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh stated that the Congress party in Telangana is on the path to victory, similar to its success in Karnataka. His comments came following an announcement by former Congress chief Rahul Gandhi in Telangana.
Congress’ Declarations and Promises
Jairam Ramesh highlighted the recent declarations made by the Congress party in Telangana, including the Farmers’ Declaration in Warangal and the Youth Declaration in Hyderabad. He also mentioned Rahul Gandhi’s promise of a guaranteed monthly pension of Rs. 4000 for senior citizens and widows. Additionally, Rahul Gandhi pledged that if the Congress forms the government, it will return Podu lands to adivasis.
Bharat Jodo Yatra and People’s Response

Ramesh emphasized the positive response from the people during the Bharat Jodo Yatra, which covered 405 km through 8 districts of the state. He believes that the overwhelming support received during this journey indicates a clear path to victory for the Congress party in Telangana, as it experienced in Karnataka.
Rahul Gandhi’s Allegations Against Telangana Chief Minister

During a public meeting called ‘Jana Garjana’ in Khammam, Rahul Gandhi accused Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao of being the “BJP’s B-Team.” He alleged that corruption charges against KCR and his party’s leaders have made them subservient to the BJP, giving Prime Minister Modi control over him.
Jairam Ramesh’s confidence in the Congress party’s victory in Telangana, along with Rahul Gandhi’s promises and allegations against the ruling party, sets the stage for a competitive political landscape in the state. The Congress party aims to replicate its success in Karnataka and emerge victorious in Telangana.
