So, Shahid Kapoor is finally back on the big screen this Friday after his last blockbuster Kabir Singh in 2019. The long-awaited sports drama film has finally been released after being postponed several times.
In terms of buzz, there has been a lacklustre response to the film in advance bookings, but the film has received mixed reviews from critics and the media in special screenings.
Amar Ujala gave the film 4 out of 5 stars, Prabhat Khabar 3.5/5 stars, TOI 3.5/5 stars, Pinkvilla 3.5/5 stars, Koimoi 3.5/5 stars, and Lehren gave it 3 out of 5 stars, praising Shahid’s performance as Arjun Talwar and Gautam Tinnanuri’s direction. Because the film is a remake of a popular Tollywood film, we anticipate a good storyline.
While Taran Adarsh gave the film 2.5 stars out of 5, Sumit Kadel gave it 3.5 stars, and Rohit Jaiswal gave it 4 stars, they all praised the performance and narration.
Jersey was released on over 2200 screens in the northern belt, and as expected, the film has failed in comparison to the Yash starrer, as exhibitors are not interested in showcasing Jersey.
COLLECTION OF BOX OFFICES
