Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor has stated that she “doesn’t mind” sharing the screen with Ryan Gosling. In a recent interview, the actress expressed gratitude to the Hollywood industry for providing opportunities to Indian actors. Kareena went on to say that she has no desire to work in Hollywood while her children, Taimur Ali Khan and Jehangir Ali Khan, are still young.
In two episodes of the Hindi adaptation of Marvel’s audio series “Wastelanders,” Kareena and her husband, actor Saif Ali Khan, will each voice a different Marvel character: Black Widow and Peter Quill, respectively. Following Scarlett Johansson’s iconic performance as Black Widow in the MCU, Kareena revealed that Saif had told her she’d make an excellent voice for the character in the MCU (MCU).
“People here are going to the West, hoping that a lot of actors from the West would come here, we would be equally honoured and excited,” Kareena said in an interview with the PTI news agency. In fact, I enjoy working with Ryan Gosling in the studio. This was not something I intended to do (act in Hollywood). Too much of my identity is based here. I don’t have enough time to enjoy my newborn babies because I recently married and life has moved at a breakneck pace. It’s pointless to be apart from them right now. However, Marvel is now coming to town.
Kareena stated: “If given the opportunity, I’d be delighted to lend my voice.”
I remember telling Saif, “I’ve been offered Black Widow,” and him saying, “You have to do it because you are the perfect Black Widow and no one else can dub it.” That’s when I realised our voices were being cast at the same time. As I read on, I became increasingly drawn to her personality. Saif’s voice was used for the role before he even began filming. That thrills us to no end. Because the actors who play these characters will have complete control over their voices, everyone in India and around the world will recognise them as Indian.”
The following are the titles of the six seasons of the Hindi Audible Original podcast series: Marvel’s Wastelanders: Hawkeye; Marvel’s Wastelanders: Black Widow; Marvel’s Wastelanders: Wolverine; Marvel’s Wastelanders: Doom; and Marvel’s Wastelanders, the series’ epic conclusion.
Kareena’s next film is “The Crew,” in which she co-stars with Tabu and Kriti Sanon. She is also working on a Hindi translation of Sujoy Ghosh’s “The Devotion of Suspect X,” as well as a murder mystery by Hansal Mehta.
