Kartik Aaryan, the acclaimed Bollywood actor, discloses that he willingly forewent his fees for the film Shehzada due to a severe financial crisis jeopardizing its production.
Not a Traditional Producer
Aaryan clarifies that his credit as a producer on Shehzada, a remake of Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, was not due to a typical producer’s role. Instead, he earned the credit by extending financial support during the film’s money troubles.
Behind-the-Scenes Financial Aid
Speaking with Film Companion, Aaryan reveals, “I was not a producer-producer as such. I was given that credit on the basis that the film was going into a money crisis, and I gave up on my fees.”
Ensuring Smooth Production
Aaryan goes on to share that he not only waived his fees but also contributed financially to ensure the film’s production continued smoothly. He emphasizes that his involvement was more in an advisory capacity, stating, “I was just acting as a producer.” The actor acknowledges the producers’ generosity in crediting him for his financial support.
No Future Production Plans
Despite this altruistic gesture, Aaryan asserts that he has no plans to venture into film production in the future. His current focus remains steadfast on his acting career.
