The Maharashtra government has ordered the formation of a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to investigate the attempted entry of a group of Muslim youths into the Trimbakeshwar temple. The SIT will be responsible for conducting a thorough investigation into the matter.
Alleged Attempt to Enter Trimbakeshwar Temple
According to reports, a group of people from the Muslim community attempted to forcefully enter the Trimbakeshwar temple in Maharashtra. They were reportedly trying to offer ‘chadar’ to the temple deity. However, the temple’s security guards successfully thwarted their attempt.
Response from Maharashtra Home Minister
Maharashtra Home Minister Devendra Fadnavis has taken note of the incident and ordered a probe into the matter. The home minister has emphasized the importance of taking strict action and has instructed the authorities to register an FIR (First Information Report) regarding the incident.
Formation of SIT
Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister Devendra Fadnavis has ordered the formation of an SIT to investigate the Trimbakeshwar temple incident. The SIT will be chaired by officers of the rank of Additional Director General of Police. It will be responsible for thoroughly investigating the incident and gathering evidence.
Temple Trust’s Complaint
The Trimbakeshwar temple trust has submitted a complaint to the police regarding the incident. The temple management has stated that only Hindus are allowed to enter the temple, which is one of the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva.
Following the incident, several arrests have been made by the Trimbakeshwar police. As of now, 4 to 5 people have been arrested in connection with the case.
