On a Sunday morning, around 10 am, a glass window of the Rani Kamalapti-Hazrat Nizamuddin Vande Bharat train was damaged due to stones thrown by the individual. Gwalior’s Railway Protection Force (RPF) inspector, Sanjay Kumar Arya, confirmed the incident. The culprit has been identified as Firoz Khan, a 20-year-old individual, who was subsequently arrested by the police.

Firoz Khan has been booked under the provisions of the Railways Act for his actions. During the interrogation, Khan admitted to committing the offense.
Additional Incident Involving Vande Bharat Train
In a separate incident on August 10, another incident occurred on the Tirupati–Secunderabad Vande Bharat Express. An unauthorized passenger was found smoking inside a toilet, triggering a false fire alarm. This incident took place in coach C-13 of Train No. 20702 after passing Gudur. The smoke-like extinguisher was activated, causing a brief halt.
Response and Resolution
The unauthorized passenger communicated the situation to the train’s guard using the emergency phone connection within the coach. This led to the train being stopped at Manubolu. The Railway police mistook the false alarm for a fire accident and rushed to the coach with a fire extinguisher. The toilet’s window had to be broken to save the passenger, who was found smoking inside.
These incidents highlight the importance of adhering to safety regulations and maintaining discipline on trains. The arrest of the individual responsible for damaging the Vande Bharat Express window underscores the seriousness with which such actions are treated under the Railways Act. Vigilance and adherence to safety measures are crucial to ensure the safety of both passengers and train personnel.
