During a roadshow in Karnataka, a man tried to breach the security of Prime Minister Narendra Modi by running towards his convoy. The incident happened on March 25, 2023, in Devangere. The man was later detained by the police. According to reports, the man was a resident of Koppal.

PM Modi was in poll-bound Karnataka where he inaugurated several projects, including a metro line in Bengaluru. Making a pitch for the return of the BJP government in the southern state, PM Modi said, “Karnataka has seen a long period of opportunistic and selfish coalition governments. Karnataka has faced losses due to such governments. So, for fast-paced development of Karnataka, BJP’s full majority, and stable government is needed.”
