Some evidence has emerged that Microsoft is working quickly to port the UI improvements in Windows 10X to Sun Valley, which is set to be released later this year.
According to WindowsLatest, experimental flags have appeared in WindowsShellExperienceHost.exe, which, when enabled, activates features previously only available in Windows 10X.
This includes enhancements to the action centre, which now includes a “gripper” for quick actions and can be revealed by swiping from the bottom of a screen, both of which were previously available only in Windows 10X.

Microsoft’s decision to improve Windows 10 over Windows 10X is likely the wisest, as anything less than full-fat Windows has always been doomed to failure in the market.
Windows 10X development has been halted, according to a report published earlier this month. As a result, the Sun Valley Update is expected to include a major UI redesign as well as additional features from the cancelled operating system.
Microsoft appears to have already begun testing some Windows 10X UI features for Action Center in review builds. Images from the preview build show that the overall Action Center interface that will ship with the Windows 10 Sun Valley Update will be quite familiar, albeit with some notable UI enhancements from the cancelled Windows 10X.
