Charges and Ongoing Investigations
Previously, the NIA had chargesheeted 14 individuals on March 24 under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), Arms Act, and the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act. Yudhvir Singh has been charged under the same case. The investigation revolves around a conspiracy orchestrated by criminal gangs and syndicates with bases both in India and overseas. The objective was to raise funds and recruit young individuals to carry out terrorist attacks in Delhi and other parts of the country.
NIA’s investigation has revealed that the conspiracies were hatched within prisons across multiple states and executed through a well-structured network of operatives based abroad.
