The recent release of SafeBettingSites.com shows a collective gross revenue of $334 million for the top three Nintendo mobile games, 30% less than the two top mobile apps earned over a month.
Nintendo invested huge amounts of money and focused on its switch console, but it stopped its mobile activity.
After spending over $200 million on Mario Kart, the popular gaming franchise seems to be slowing down and putting all of its eggs in the basket.
Tencent’s Kings Honor now leads the way for most of the revenues generated by a mobile game annually, reaching $257.5 million in player spending in March.
This reduced the app to 63 percent year-over-year growth.
A second Tencent mobile game follows Honor of Kings: PUBG Mobile, generated with $240.5 million for player expenditure.
Nintendo Knocked Off Mobile Perch Gaming
Fire Emblem Heroes was Nintendo’s leading mobile game in terms of annual player spending, with $163 million generated between April 2020 and March 2021, but still 36% lower than the one made only by Honor of King in the month of March.
Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp ranked number 3, with Nintendo generating annual revenue of $78 million from mobile gaming. This was followed by Dragalia Lost and Dr.Mario World, respectively generating $22m and $6m for the top five.
The SafeBettingSites.com data release shows that Nintendo has taken off the gas in mobile gaming and with the Switch console boom, perhaps it’s time for Tencent to truly take over the mobile gaming market.
