No Vaccines, No Wages…! The Ujjain district administration in Madhya Pradesh has issued an order to meet the target of 100% COVID-19 vaccinations by stating that public officials would not receive salaries by next month unless inoculated.
On Tuesday, Ashish Singh District Collector issued a warrant to that effect. The order states that if vaccinated until July 31, the salaries of government staff will not be disbursed.
The employee wages for July are paid only after the vaccination certificate has been issued, according to a district official.
Several steps in this direction were taken,” Singh told PTI, confirming the order on Wednesday. The order also stated that the district treasury officer was instructed to collect vaccination certificates and payments for June and compile information on coronaviral-infection inoculation of government employees.
Heads of various district departments were also directed to provide daily and contract workers with information on vaccination.
In the order, it was found that government employees were not vaccinated during the examination of deaths from COVID-19 in the district.
