Quiet place Part II is on the way to an enormous opening weekend of $57.4 million, which is impressive in pre-Covid times but now almost unbelievable.
The North American Box Office has burnt down as a first day collection of 19.4 million dollars, A Quiet Place Part II, the sequel to 2018’s horror film A Quiet Place, reports Deadline.
According to the publication the directorial John Krasinski has a massive weekend opening of $57.4 million which in the past would have been impressive, but is almost unbelievable.
The director of A Quiet Place Part II returns Krasinski. In the previous film, Emily Blunt, Millicent Simonds and Noah Jupe take up their roles. Since the character of Krasinski is dead, he only comes back in the flashback scene.
The new cast members are Cillian Murphy and Djimon Hounsou. A very positive review was conducted at Quiet Place Part II. It has a mark of 91% on the Rotten Tomatoes review site.
In the meantime, Cruella from Disney doesn’t do bad either. After the opening of the first day of the 7,7 million dollars, a three-day opening weekend, the project is expected to raise 22,3 million dollars.
Starting in the titular role of Emma Stone, the film is the origin storey of Cruella de Vil, the villain in the Hundred One franchise of the Dalmatians. Dana Fox and Tony McNamara are directing Craig Gillespie.
Emma Thompson, Joel Fry, Emily Beecham, Kirby Howell-Baptiste, Mark Strong, and Paul Walter Hauser are stars too.
