Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) exam paper leak case has seen the Special Investigation Team (SIT) of Telangana arrest two more people on Friday. The arrested were Bhagwant, a Mandal Parishad Development Officer (MPDO) officer in Vikarabad, and his brother Ravi Kumar. The investigation revealed that Bhagwant purchased a question paper for the Assistant Engineer (AE) exam from one of the accused, Dhakya Nayak, for his brother Ravi Kumar.
The TSPSC scam came to light on March 12, which led to the arrest of 19 accused and the cancellation of the Group 1 preliminary examination, Assistant Engineers, AEE, and DAO exams. Praveen Kumar, an employee in TSPSC, and Rajashekar Reddy, a network administrator at ATSPSC, allegedly stole question papers of some exams from a computer in a confidential section of the Commission and sold them to other accused. The SIT has also examined TSPS chairman Janardhan Reddy, secretary Anita Ramachandran, and member B. Linga Reddy. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) is also probing money laundering charges in the case.
Two More Arrests Made
The SIT arrested Bhagwant, a Mandal Parishad Development Officer (MPDO) officer in Vikarabad, and his brother Ravi Kumar, making the total number of arrests 21.
Background to TSPSC Leak Case

Praveen Kumar, an employee in TSPSC, and Rajashekar Reddy, a network administrator at ATSPSC, allegedly stole question papers of some exams from a computer in a confidential section of the Commission and sold them to other accused. The scam came to light on March 12, which led to the arrest of 19 accused and the cancellation of the Group 1 preliminary examination, Assistant Engineers, AEE, and DAO exams.
Investigation Details
During the investigation, officials found that Bhagwant purchased a question paper for the Assistant Engineer (AE) exam from one of the accused, Dhakya Nayak, for his brother Ravi Kumar. It was found that Bahgwant transferred Rs. 2 lakh to the account of Dhakya Nayak for the question paper. Dhakya is the husband of Renuka, a teacher who obtained question papers from prime accused Praveen Kumar, an employee in TSPSC. She had purchased the question paper for her brother, Rajeshwar Nayak, who had appeared in the AE exam. She, along with Dhakya, had sold question papers to others.
Current Status of the Case
The SIT has examined TSPS chairman Janardhan Reddy, secretary Anita Ramachandran, and member B. Linga Reddy. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) is also probing money laundering charges in the case. The SIT has reportedly identified financial transactions to the tune of Rs 33.4 lakh in the case.
