In a significant breakthrough, the Surat Crime Branch successfully apprehended a 70-year-old man from Maharashtra who had managed to evade arrest for three decades in connection to arms cases.
Arrest After 30 Years
The elusive individual, identified as Mohan Singh alias Mohan Bhaiya Narvadsingh Dawer (Chikhligar), was captured by Sub-Inspector Praveen Padhiyar and his team during their efforts to locate individuals evading arrest for an extended period.
Criminal Record
Mohan Singh faced charges in two arms cases dating back to 1993, filed by the Panigate police station in Vadodara. Additionally, he was implicated in another arms case in Rajkot in 2018.
Police Operation
The Surat Crime Branch, while compiling a list of long-time fugitives, focused on Mohan Singh, eventually leading to his arrest. The authorities revealed that he was also previously arrested by the Shahada police in Maharashtra for arms-related offenses in 1989, 2012, and 2017.
