The Simcoe County Museum will host the 24th Annual IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer’s on Sunday, May 29, 2022. This year marks the first walk in person since 2019.
Come enjoy a lovely day of healthy exercise, refreshments, performances, and fun! The Alzheimer Society of Simcoe County (ASSC) is raising funds to assist people living with dementia, which is one of the most pressing health care issues of our time, affecting at least 10,500 Simcoe County residents.
ASSC is inviting all of Simcoe County to participate in the annual IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer’s – WALK 10,500 STEPS WITH US for the 10,500 Simcoe County residents living with dementia. Walk as part of a group or on your own, with your dog or with a family member or friend – do it for dementia.
All funds raised will stay in our community and will be used to provide counselling, support groups, education, and social recreational programmes to people living with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias, as well as their families and care partners. “This is a difficult and unknown road for us, but the people at the Alzheimer Society of Simcoe County make it seem less uncertain!” says an ASSC client.
The Alzheimer Society’s largest fundraiser of the year is the IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer’s. Every year, the Walk raises over $100,000 to provide much-needed services to our community, thanks to the generosity and determination of Simcoe County residents who participate.
