The Punjab Police has also deployed two armed police personnel to provide security for Colonel Bath and his family. The incident occurred during the intervening night of March 13 and 14, and a formal FIR was registered at Civil Lines Police Station, Patiala, based on Colonel Bath’s statement.

Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema publicly addressed the matter and emphasized that strict action will be taken against those found guilty.
“We have formed an SIT. Action will be taken against the guilty, and we have already transferred those named to avoid any interference in the investigation,” Cheema said.

Colonel’s Wife Vows to Continue the Fight

Jaswinder Kaur Bath, wife of Colonel Bath, said the matter is not political but a fight for justice.
“I will fight and get justice for everyone. I do not need a political party or organization. The FIR is registered, but I haven’t received confirmation about the suspension orders,” she stated.
She expressed her determination to pursue justice not only for her family but for the people of Punjab.
