Four individuals lost their lives in a tragic accident on the Delhi-Jaipur highway in Gurgaon on Friday night. The incident involved a collision between a truck, a car, and a pick-up van. The truck driver fled the scene, leaving behind a grim scene that unfolded near Triveni Hotel Sidhrawali, Bilaspur.
Sequence of Events
According to Bilaspur police, the accident occurred when an oil tanker from Jaipur skidded through the divider. It first collided with a car and then with a pick-up truck. The occupants of the car, unable to escape, tragically succumbed to the flames caused by a CNG leakage.
Victims
The deceased individuals have been identified as Jitendra from Samalkha in Panipat, Lokesh Saini from Jind, and Pavan Dubey from Bihar. The driver of the pick-up truck, Trilok Sharma alias Deepak from Chilhad village, Pataudi, also lost his life in the accident.
Police Response
The Bilaspur police team, upon receiving information about the car catching fire, promptly reached the scene along with the fire brigade. Efforts to extinguish the fire and recover the trapped individuals were made, but unfortunately, the pickup driver was found dead upon retrieval.
Legal Action
The Bilaspur police is taking further action in accordance with the law, filing charges under Section 279 and 304A of the IPC related to the incident.
