The Congregation Circle is speculating that it will be formally joined the poll one day after the meeting of polling striker Prashant Kishor with Congress president Sonia Gandhi, former party head Rahul Gandhi and Party secretary general Priyanka Gandhi Vadra.
Although either he or the top leaders of the Congress have not confirmed this. Archana Dalmia’s tweet, which was later deleted, was partly responsible for the spéculation.
Ms. Dalmia is the chairman of Congress’ cell of the complaints and the Gandhi’s close assistant. She tweeted: “Welcome to the family of the Congress.”
In Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, and Punjab, Mr. Kishor worked with the Congress beforehand. He has made his unhappiness with the working style of the party public on many occasions.
In the wake of the triumph of the Trinamool Congress, where Mamata Banerjee and the victory of the DMK were closely involved, Mr. Kishor claimed in a number of television interviews that he was “squitting” the campaign in West Bengal where I-Pac, the political consultancy company he is associated with, was involved.
“I don’t want what I do to continue. I did sufficiently. I have to take a break and do something else in my life.
I’d like to leave this room,” he told NDTV. He served as Vice President of the Janata Dal Secular (U). He was kicked out of the party for opposing the Citizenship (Amendment) Act.
