Some Lenovo laptops now support the Show Mode, which enables PCs to be converted into clever displays with one simple command. Show mode enables users to turn their laptops to show trending news, listen to music, set a timer, etc. Basically, everything you can do with an intelligent Lenovo display that has voice help supported. Amazon has announced that it will only be implemented on Lenovo Yoga, IdeaPad and ThinkPad models on Windows 10 for the first, interactive Alexa experience for selected Lenovo laptops.
In a blog post, Amazon explained that the new Show Mode supports many Alexa features. You can use the Lenovo And Amazon Alexa feature to ask about the weather, find news, make memories, play games, hear music, etc. In addition, it can also be used to control compatible smart home devices. Basically, you use the PC as a smart display so you can trigger actions by using voice commands.

If your Lenovo laptop supports Show Mode, just say “Alexa, open Show Mode.” To start, you can also click the “Show Mode” button on the Alexa tab. “Because the ‘set and forget’ experience with Alexa in Show Mode allows users to chat to Alexa on a large screen without having to be always on their Lenovo laptop or reach their phone, to do things,” the Amazon explained on the blog.
Lenovo Presence
This new display mode will now be available exclusively in India, Australia, Canada, Germany, Germany, Ireland, Japan, NZ, United Kingdom, and the USA on Alexa-compatible Lenovo Yoga, IdeaPad, and ThinkPad PCs. Lenovo announced this Show Mode feature at CES 2021 and said that the first devices would be Yoga Slim 9i, Yoga 9i, Yoga 7i, Yoga AIO 7, and the IdeaPad 5 Series. Lenovo advises that users must ensure that devices are opened with an open deck and support microphones to make the Show Mode seamless. If you don’t have any of these Lenovo models, Amazon says they will expand the compatibility of Show Mode with other PC models by later in the year.
