Park Seo-Joon…! Several international news outlets have reported that popular Korean actor Park Seo-Joon will be joining the Marvel Universe soon, but neither his agency nor Marvel representatives have confirmed this.
The mainstream Korean media hasn’t covered it either. According to reports, Park is being considered for a role in the Captain Marvel sequel, The Marvels, which is set to be released on November 11, 2022.
Nia DeCosta will direct the film, which will star Brie Larson as Carol Danvers. Awesome ENT, Park’s management company, has not confirmed the rumours or even that the actor was considered for a role in the film.
If Park is cast, he will be the third Korean actor to appear in Marvel films. Claudia Kim from Avengers: Age of Ultron and Ma Dong-seok aka Don Lee from The Eternals were the other Korean actors.
Park has appeared in a number of successful k-dramas, including Kill Me, Heal Me, She Was Pretty, What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim, and Itaewon Class. He also appeared in the films The Divine Fury and Parasite, as well as a small part in Bong Joon-Oscar-winning ho’s film The Divine Fury.
Park is now filming the disaster thriller Concrete Utopia with Lee Byung-hun and Park Bo-young. The movie builds on Kim Sung-webtoon nik’s Pleasant Bullying.
The Marvels is intended to be the successor to Captain Marvel (2019), Ms Marvel (2021), the 31st film in the Marvel Cinematographic Universe, and a continuation of the Disney+ series.
The movie will also be starred as Monica Rambeau by Teyonah Parris and as Kamala Khan and Marvel by Iman Vellani.
