TS ECET 2025 Counselling Schedule Out: Key Dates, Steps and Documents You Need to Know

TS ECET 2025 counselling begins mid-July: Full schedule, certificate checklist, and portal link revealed by TSCHE

Hyderabad, June 13: After weeks of anticipation, the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) has rolled out the counselling schedule for TS ECET 2025, clearing the deck for diploma and B.Sc. (Maths) graduates eyeing lateral entry into engineering programs. With thousands of aspirants awaiting clarity, the official word has finally arrived, bringing with it key dates, revised procedures, and a few critical reminders for students.

Counselling to Roll Out in Three Rounds Starting Mid-July

Based on the timeline made available through official communication channels, the counselling process is expected to kick off by July 15, though the formal notification is anticipated within the next few days. The entire counselling cycle will unfold in three structured rounds, with an internal sliding phase and a final spot admission round likely wrapping up the process by mid-August.

Students who have cleared the Telangana State Engineering Common Entrance Test (TS ECET) are eligible for admission directly into the second year of B.E., B.Tech, or B.Pharm courses, offered across numerous colleges in the state. This lateral entry route has remained a crucial opportunity for diploma holders and science graduates to leap directly into mainstream engineering streams.

What the Counselling Procedure Involves

Let’s break it down—because the process, while online, isn’t exactly a cakewalk if you’re not tuned in.

To begin with, candidates will have to register online, pay the processing fee, and then book a slot at their nearest Help Line Centre (HLC) for physical certificate verification. This is a mandatory step. Skipping it can disqualify even the most deserving candidate.

The fee structure is straightforward: ₹1,200 for General and OBC candidates and ₹600 for SC/ST categories. This is a one-time processing charge and has to be paid upfront during online registration.

Once certificates are verified at the helpline centre, the portal opens for web options entry—arguably the most crucial step in the entire process. This is where candidates lock in their preferred colleges and specializations. What follows is the seat allotment, done based on rank, category, and availability. Students allotted a seat will be required to self-report online, pay the required admission fee, and later report in person at the college.

Keep These Documents Ready — No Last-Minute Scramble

Aspirants are advised to keep their documents in order. Here’s what you’ll absolutely need during verification:

  • TS ECET 2025 Hall Ticket & Rank Card
  • Diploma or B.Sc. (Mathematics) Marks Memos
  • Transfer Certificate (TC)
  • Study Certificates from Class 6 onwards
  • Aadhaar Card
  • Income and Caste Certificates (only if applicable)
  • Residence Proof, where needed

While the minimum eligibility mark is 25% in TS ECET for most candidates, it’s important to note that no minimum score is required for SC/ST applicants, as per the TSCHE rules in place.

A More Robust Web System for 2025

After years of technical hiccups and overloaded servers, TSCHE appears to have learned its lesson. This year, the portal has undergone backend upgrades aimed at easing slot booking and improving the real-time responsiveness of the counselling interface.

Students who have previously complained about frozen pages and multiple failed logins during the critical option entry phase may find some relief this time around. An official from TSCHE, speaking on condition of anonymity, confirmed that “the infrastructure has been tested for higher traffic volumes and adjusted for smoother navigation.”

Tentative Timeline: What to Expect, and When

Although the final notification is still awaited, here’s how things are shaping up for now:

  • Registration & Slot Booking: Around July 15
  • Document Verification at HLCs: From July 18 to July 22
  • Web Options Entry Window: Opens July 19 onwards
  • First Round Allotment Results: Likely by July 26
  • Second Round Begins: Expected in the first week of August
  • Spot Admission Round: By August 14 or 15, wrapping up the season

Aspirants are strongly urged to stay connected to the official portals — tgeapcet.nic.in and eapcet.tsche.ac.in — where all bulletins and time-sensitive updates will be posted.

Don’t Fall for the Traps — TSCHE Warns Students

As always, the authorities have issued a clear caution: beware of fraudulent calls, fake counselling portals, and self-proclaimed ‘admission agents’ promising seats in exchange for money.

All verifications and allotments are purely merit-based and managed by the official TSCHE system. If anyone tries to persuade you otherwise, report them.

Students facing technical problems during any step of the counselling can contact helpline numbers listed on the website or directly visit their allotted Help Line Centres. These centres are staffed with trained officials to assist with registration errors, document mismatches, or system glitches.

Engineering Seats in High Demand — Choose Smartly

With over 240 engineering colleges participating in the TS ECET admission process this year, competition remains stiff, particularly in sought-after branches like Computer Science, AI, Electronics, and Data Science.

Counselling experts suggest that while students should list their dream colleges first, it’s also wise to include a few realistic backup options down the list to improve chances of seat allotment in the first round itself.

For many diploma students in Telangana, this counselling round is not just a procedural necessity—it’s a long-awaited turning point in their academic careers.
