Yesterday, South Korean car manufacturer launched factory orders for its new all-electric Kia EV6 car after completing the reservation phase. Kia EV6 received over 33,000 prospects and 7,300 reservations during its booking period.
Over 26,000 customers also expressed interest in EV6. Kia reserved the EV6 shortly after its unveiling event and secured the booking number within one month.
The Kia EV6 European Business Plan is based on these figures, according to the automaker. Obviously, this figure is quite impressive and far beyond the automaker’s expectations. Now all other customers can book their local distributor’s EV6.
In addition to choosing the various powertrain and battery packs for electric vehicle, customers will also have the option to configure design, performance and other pre-production technology modes.
Kia EV6 Overview of An Electric Vehicle
Kia EV6 is South Korea’s upcoming electric crossover SUV. It is the car’s first electric battery vehicle and is based on the newly designed Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP).
Also shares this platform with Hyundai Ioniq 5 EV, her close cousin.
Two battery configurations are available: a 77.4 kWh long-range version and a 58.0 kWh standard battery capacity range.
Customers can also select two-wheeled (2WD) and all-wheel (AWD) drive capabilities.
Kia EV6 will be produced in mid-2021, and car manufacturer plans in the second half of 2021.
Looking at the mass response, Kia EV6’s orders seem to increase in the future. We could see the biggest spike after or on launch day.
Kia EV6 is undoubtedly an impressive electric car, and it will certainly be good on the market. While Kia has not yet confirmed its price, Teska Model Y could be challenged if EV6 stays below Euro 40,000.
