HP Inc. again dominated the market, with growth of 633.7 per cent pushing it beyond the four million unit mark.

With 3,1 million units shipped, Lenovo took second place and increased production to facilitate order backlogs from 2020. According to the latest data from market research firm Canalys, all Acer, Samsung and Dell comprised the other top five, shipping more than 1 million units.

In the fourth consecutive quarter of 2021, worldwide PC markets (including tablets) increased sharply, with shipments rising 53.1 percent (year-on-year) at 122.1 million units.

As the most recent iteration of the iPad Air has gained traction to consumers, Apple expanded its lead, growing 50.3 percent and shipping 152 million units.

Samsung held second place with 8 million units shipped, posting 59.9% growth. With 133.5% and 197.9% (year on year), Lenovo and Amazon achieved the highest levels of shipment volume growth, respectively.

Lenovo remained a leader in the overall computer market, including desktops, notebooks and tablets, shipping 24 million units.
